About the census

What TowerCensus is

TowerCensus is a free public census of every antenna structure registered with the FCC — the towers, guyed masts, monopoles and rooftop installations that carry America's broadcast, cellular and public-safety networks. The federal Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) database is authoritative but sits behind a 1990s government search form: no maps, no owner roll-ups, no linkable pages.

We publish one page per structure with its registered heights, precise coordinates, construction and registration dates, FAA study number, lighting and marking requirements, and the registered owner — cross-linked to owner portfolios, state pages and height rankings. Provenance and freshness are first-class: every figure traces to the FCC's weekly bulk file.
